Topic: Windows 7 Won't recognize rme 400 fireface

Hi,

Just got new computer, Asus motherboard, with windows 7.
Im using PCI firewire adapter, but system doesn't detect the rme 400.
I change PCI firewire adapter but still same thing is happening.

Please Advise,

I don't even see the exclamation in device properties.

I try to use 2 different fireware adapters. I change the fireware adapter driver to use lagacy, still doesn't work.

Should I try to get another firewire card or my rme device is malfunctioning?

Works well before with windows xp and older intel motherboard with firewire adpater on board.

Have you tried to use another firewire cable before. Some bad firewire cables are often the reason of an malfunction.

Yes I did try another Firewire cable.

Did you find a fix for this? Exact same problem here. Mine does work on a Mac, but not on windows 7. Tried firmware versions 1.71, and 1.63, with the correct driver version for the firmware.
