Topic: FF800 ALSA Linux drivers

With Ardour 2 now a powerful DAW to challenge the market leaders would it not be good to allow the ALSA developers the information they require to develop drivers and make the Fireface the only high-end audio interface to fully support the Linux environment.  With UbuntuStudio
(http://ubuntustudio.org/home) now availabel this would put RME in an enviable position in the Audio Interface world and would be well worth the effort in my opinion.  Also it would allow me to use my FF800 with free software!! :-)

Please whoever is in caharge of such decisions at RME consider the advantages of the Open Source community.
