Topic: Can I Obtain Lower Latency on my Machine?

Hello All,

I have been a user of the Multiface II with HSPe PCIe for 12 months and have enjoyed the capture and playback quality.

Unfortunately, when running Cubase sessions, I am often forced to increase latency to maximum (4096 ms) in order to avoid glitching. Very often though, 4096 ms is not enough and I need to disable plugins.

My questions is: What change can I make to the system so that I can run at a lower latency? My expectation when buying and installing the PCIe audio interface system was to be able to run sessions at very low rates without glitching. I'm wondering if there is a hardware/configuration change that can be made to my system to allow the Multiface to pipe data faster.

Machine details:
> Mainboard : Gigabyte P55M-UD2

If there is more information that I can provide to help troubleshooting, please let me know.

Thank you very much for your help.

Re: Can I Obtain Lower Latency on my Machine?

Read the "Howto: 100 us DPC..." (Macbook related) thread in the Tips & Tricks section. Most of the stuff there is the same for most PCs (aka getting low DPC latencies).
