Topic: bypass behavior reversed

Hi folks,
[OS X 10.6.4, HDSPe, RME RPM, 15.4" MBP, early 2009 model]
I updated to last drivers yesterday only to find out that outputs 1/2 and 3/4 do not work (5/6, sent to phones, worked correctly).
I did reinstall the driver, no help. Tested with different laptop using Win XP (which had no RME drivers ever installed), outputs were still dead until I clicked inputs sensitivity, which strangely brought the outputs back to life. So I knew my RPM had not died.
Next I cleaned up OS X using http://www.rme-audio.de/forum/viewtopic … 81#p23681, reinstalled drivers. This did not help either.
Desperate, I clicked through everything in HDSP Settings and only clicking Bypass (checking it) actually brought outputs back up again.
Yeah - having Bypass checked makes the card output the sound from my audio app. Reverse to what I have been used to over past 6 years using RPM.
Would anyone know what causes this? Anything I should check? Any consequences I should expect?
Thanks.
Peter

Re: bypass behavior reversed

Please try this driver:

https://archiv.rme-audio.de/download/hd … rpmfix.zip

It is identical to the 2.73 release, only that in the Settings dialog the Bypass function has been reversed.

Re: bypass behavior reversed

That fixed it, thank you MC!

PS: can you share any word on upcoming products that will support TotalMix FX?
