Some months after my first query...
Is there someone who in the meantime is using this two machines ( Fireface 800 and Eventide H8000FW) ?

I am trying to use the firewire audio routing of the H8000.

I was testing this system to check how can I use the fw connection of the h8000 in my recording system, which is based on a Fireface 800.

I have the fw cable connected from the pc to the H8000 and from it to the Rme.

The h8000 works well, but I can't have the Rme working.

The Rme icon shows up but there is no way to go into the control panel and the host light shows there is no connection with the pc ( even if something is actually happening as the Rme icon says).

No need to say that the combination Rme>Pc works perfect ;-)

Ok,
I have it finally sorted out with some mojo.
All is fine, at the moment I can confirm it is working as supposed to.
Now it's just a matter of how to benefit from this routing potential.
