Topic: Octamic 2 Question to RME

Hello RME,

It might be stated in the Manual but does  the Octamic's 1/4" TRS inputs bypass a gain stage in the preamp ? .  I have a Vintage UA 610 pre amp with XLR line H -z Output and then I am running it into the Octamic 2 XLR pre amp. Should I rather run it in the 1/4 Jack, if that is bypassing the preamp in the Octamic 2 so that I dont get boith UA 610 Pream p and the Octamic 2 Preamp

Thanks, but AS I have it now with my Sandberg Bas -Line in  UA 610 Solo  XLR out - Octamic 2 XLR and then have the gain turned down to 0 it sounds GREAT.   I will try to go direct into the Multiface analouge to see if there is any difference.
