Hello I have RME Hammerfall dsp multiface sound card. I installed Win 7 64 bit on my system and install drivers from download section this one It said "WDM streaming driver for the whole Hammerfall DSP System" but when I install them I got this horrible sound in my speakers like a buzz or something I cant explain exactly what,so can you tell me am I downloading right drivers or my sound card is not win 7 compatible,thank you.
That driver is correct. Did you also update the firmware of the host card with the FUT?
nop I didn`t, can you tell me how plz or give me some tutorial, I know If I do it wrong I can burn something thats why I didnt do it.
I read this and readme in downloaded FUT but is that all just clicking on update and thats it I cant do anything wrong right, like I dont know disabling my card forever or something.
Depending on how old your card is, there is a possibility of disabling the PCI card if the flash update fails due to PCI trouble on your motherboard. Newer revision cards have a failsafe.
EIther way, you definitely cannot use the card with the new Windows 7 driver without also updating firmware.
I dont know like 8 years...what are the chances that flash will fail? She cost me alot and I dont want to burn her with that flash.
I don't know, I've never had a problem, but people have... If it fails, just keep trying and don't shut down the PC until it's successful.
you mean with sound card or with flashing?
Never had a problem with flashing an old card.
