Topic: Audio Recording / Playback Ahead Of Time - FF800 2.75, Logic 9.1.1
Hi Folks,
Strange one here. I have a Mac Pro running Logic 9.1.1 with a FF800 connected to a PC running Windows 7 home, Cubase 5.5.1 and a Motu 828MKII. I'm using the ADAT / SPDIF connections for audio transfer and sync operations but use a program called MIDI Over LAN for MIDI and MTC information. Since updating to the 2.75 Driver (I'm pretty sure), the sync between the two sequencers metronomes has become audibly out. It would seem that the audio coming from the PC is pushing ahead of Logic even thought the tempo is set exactly the same in the transports and they are locked @25fps. This has always worked perfectly, pretty much bang on and I have been trying to fathom what has changed that could cause this strange behaviour. When I record the audio from the PC to an audio track in Logic, when zooming in on the waveform, it is well ahead of the downbeat. I'm pretty sure it used to be late requiring a bit of editing and pulling back but now it's the other way round by quite some margin. I'll have to check how many samples exactly from the editor. I had updated the drivers for the MOL and Motu interface so there have typically been lots of elements in this equation but rolling back those drivers to the previous ones and things are exactly the same. The only other thing that changed was the FF800 driver. Anyone experience anything similar? I could try 2.74 again I suppose to be sure, but I went and binned it which was slightly silly Any chance of a link to this please?
Cheers.
