Topic: Steinberg Audiolink 96 Multiset breakout box with HDSPe ExpressCard?

I have a Steinberg Audiolink 96 that I previously used with the PCI card on a tower DAW.
I recently switched to a laptop and am attempting to get this to work with a new HDSPe ExpressCard.
If I test the Multiset box with the old PCI card, I get a red host light on PC boot, indicating that I have host connectivity.
If I try it on the laptop, the red host light never comes on, and when I attempt to switch to the card in Cubase, I get "HDSP Init Failed."
I've never had to use the "Aux Power" on the Multiset/Multiface box on the desktop/tower.

Is it as simple as the Multiset being under powered here?
Or is there a firmware or update I need?

The Laptop is a new ADK Pro laptop so I tend to think the drivers are up to date.

Thanks

On a laptop you need an external power supply. Check your manual for details.

Thanks, Isaac, that's what I suspected. I've long since lost the Aux Power adapter from this box, and I can't find the manual...does anyone know what I can get as a suitable replacement?

Your nearest RME retailer or distributor can supply one. Else, any 9-12 V, 2 A PSU will work, either polarity, even AC...
