Topic: HDSPe and file read bandwidth

Hi,

I am considering building up system based on a Mac Pro with one 2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon ?Nehalem? processor, 3GB memory, 1TB hard drive and the HDSPe HDSPe 64-channel MADI card.

My question is: can this system reliably open 32 mono 48 kHz / 24-bit WAV files and stream them to the HDSPe interface in real time? I assume so, but I just want to check :-)

Sure, my 3 year old Core2Duo Macbook Pro can do it.

32 x 48000 x 24 bit = 36.864.000 bit = 4.608.000 byte =~ 4.4 MB/s
