In the Manual is said, that ADAT Sync of the Digiface is not supportet with a Mac as host system.
But why?
Would there be at least a possibility to acces the RAW ADAT Sync data from a low level of the driver? So I could display them in an own application?
That would be very helpful for some recording scenaries.
ADAT Sync needs a standard to transmit the sample-synchronous position information. There is APP under Win, but nothing under Mac. The 'raw' data is therefore not available.
And whats about a virtual third MIDI port, witch transmitts the data via MTC and MMC? or SMPTE?
Such features are not present under Windows, so there is no code, so it would require completely new programming and development. Which will not happen for a dead feature like that.
