Topic: Using RME FF800 with ProFire Lightbridge?

Hi,

Durring my reading in google I heard that I can connect FF800 to the M-AUDIO ProFire Lightbridge to be able to use Pro Tools M-Powered .

Is the following is the correct setup (and will not using the the ProFire Lightbridge converters)?

1- connect FF800 to my PC "Firewire 1 " and connect the M-AUDIO ProFire Lightbridge "Firewire 2"
2- connect the FF800 ADAT 1 in and out ports to M-AUDIO ProFire Lightbridge

I am just new into this and I am trying to make the setup as simple as I can and using the FF800 Preamps and converters and the ProFire Lightbridge only to use protools nothing more.

Thanks

You can conncet the FF to the ProFire via ADAT. PT will not communicate with the FF directly.

Thanks, I understand that PT will not communicate with the FF directly.

I just want to insure that I will be using FF800 converters not the ProFire Lightbridge converters.

Is this true?

If you connect via ADAT, you are using the FF's converters.

Re: Using RME FF800 with ProFire Lightbridge?

Hi,
Can you please tell me what I need to do in order to connect the  FF800 with ProFire Lightbridge via ADAT?

what the setup should be done in the control panel for FF800 and ProFire Lightbridge?

Currently the Fireface800 shows the ADAT light but it's flashing so I am not sure what is this mean (correct setup or not?).

Thanks
