Topic: identify adi-2 revision

Hello,

I want to identify the revision of an Adi-2.

The manual indicates that post-revision of 1.4 have a QS (left) led white.
According to the photo in RME web site, I suppose that older revision have orange left QS led.

Another Adi-2 have green left QS led. What is this revision.

If you know a method for easily detect the revision , I m interesting.

Thanks

Re: identify adi-2 revision

Hello,

I am surprise.

I considers to buy an used ADI-2 and I ask to seller to sent a image of his Adi-2 for revision identification (I search a 1.4 revision minimum for the volume control)

He sent this image : http://shal.free.fr/adi-2.jpg

Me too. The oldest pics and infos that I found were from january 2004, and already there the unit had a yellow LED for Double Speed and orange for Quad Speed. So without serial number we can not say what unit this is.

Re: identify adi-2 revision

I just bought one of these used on ebay and the serial number is 22445284. Can you tell me which hardware revision it is?

I opened it up hoping to link the volume pot to the line outs on the back, but couldn't find any jumpers.  I'm afraid my unit is too old.  Any recommendations for how to control output level to monitors without any loss?

Re: identify adi-2 revision

I could find out, but if there are no jumpers, I guess you already have the answer...

As a passive volume controller, I've used this device.
