Topic: Warning against using RME to upgrade Fractal Audio devices

Hi.

Fractal Audio warns against using the RME to upgrade it's products because it can damage them.

At the Fractal forum they also warn against using other RME products, not only the FF800, because "all RME adapters use a common code base".

I have to upgrade my Axe-FX and the FF400 is my only midi interface (I never had problems so far)

Can someone give some advice about it?

Thanks and regards.

Re: Warning against using RME to upgrade Fractal Audio devices

I got some problems upgrading firmware of my Axe-FX Ultra with my FF 800 but with the most recent firmware (above 6 I think). It worked before. Finally bought a M-Audio Midisport 2x2 to avoid any problems. I have never tried with my FF UC but I got some problems with my FF 800 to record MIDI with an e-drums (did a post for this on this forum about 2 years ago : http://www.rme-audio.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=6482 ) that I don't have with my FF UC.
