Topic: Power Problem

Hello,

my RME Fireface UC just arrived! But unfortunately i got a strange problem... When powering it on nothing happens. I switch it off and power it on again (everytime with the small power switch on the back). Nothing happens but one LED is on. I switch it to off again and then again back to on and the next LED is on, so two totally, but again nothing more. I checked if my Macbook can recognize it via USB, unfortunately no. So while repeating power off/on the Fireface continues to bring more LEDs on and it seems without having any knowledge of the Firefaces that it continues to boot up while always switching power off/on. But as soon as it brings one LED more in the on-state it hangs again and nothing happens more.

What is this? Is the fireface damaged? How should i continue with it?

Have you switched it to Apple mode with a doubleclick of the encoder? Without connection to the host computer!

It doesnt react when clicking on the front rotary button.

Please press and hold the encoder button then power-on. This will reset the unit. If that does not work maybe just the power supply is defective.

I had the same problem 1 week ago with the UC.
I sent it back for changing, now there's noone available for till 26.11.

You didn't buy the interface from a german dealer by any chance?

I bought it there too.... Thomann seems to have strange politics. They said to me that they don't have UCs anymore in stock so I bought it now from someone else.
