Topic: Newb question - system switch?

I currently use my ff800 with my PC (windows 7 64 bit/ i7) and am at firmware 2.71 and all works well.
I would like to try the unit with a friends rig that is a G4 apple with Protools 8.1.  Can we just download the drivers for his rig and go or will I need to update the firmware too?

You can't use the FF with ProTools 8, you need Digi or Maudio hardware for that version.
