Topic: ASIO Direct Monitoring works in Sonar?

I don't understand how I can benefit from the procedure described in the manual, where one "moves a fader in the the ASIO Host and the corresponding fader in Total Mix moves too".

I am using:
- Fireface UC with latest Flash (112) and latest TotalMix FX driver (0.961);
- Cakewalk Sonar version 8.3.1 (not the latest though - the one before)

I moved a Mains Fader in Sonar's Console (the fader labelled by Sonar exactly as in the drivers' page: "ASIO Fireface USB Analog 3(1)" ) and expected that the same fader in the "Software Playback" Row of TotalMix FX would move - as it is exactly the same stream/chanell as in the Sonar's Console - but it does NOT move.

Any help/explanations?

As far as I am aware, Sonar 8 does not include support for ASIO direct monitoring.
