I opted to not spend 9K at digi to get Protools happening with MADI.
I had used the RME card with Nuendo and my Soundtracs DPC console with no issue.
I added Protools 9 and all was great except for clocking.
With Protools 9, the RME card must clock to the incoming Madi stream to lock reliably.
With Nuendo, the external WC input works fine.
I am not sure why this is the case but that is the only cure right now.
It is nice to have no Digi hardware at all and have 32 ins and outs for $249!
