Topic: Totalmix FX Mackie Control implementation docs?

Hi Matthias

I've had some users of LC Xmu asking about support for TotalMix FX, which I believe should pretty much "just work".

I'd like to add any new FX-only features to LC Xmu's TotalMix host support. Does TotalMix FX use Mackie Control buttons or LEDs that the original TotalMix does not?

Hi John,

if you compare the old TM implementation with the TM FX one there are additions and changes:

Old: SEL(1-8) + DYNAMICS  reset fader to Unity Gain   New: Activate Trim mode per channel

Added: F13 = Cue Phones 4 (42 / 66 / #F 4)

Added: Dyn = Trim Gains, activates Trim on all channels (2D / 45 / A 2)

Some more functions have been added but are only available either outside Mackie or via CC.

Thanks - so these changes and additions apply only to TotalMix FX, or for TotalMix as well?

And I know people are gonna ask me - any plans to implement control of the effects from the Mackie Control?

Only TM FX. Effects will come later.
