Topic: (external) soundcards that work in slave mode

hi

i recently purchased an ADI-2 along with a creative x-fi HD USB. the combination works fine, but i would prefer to use the ADI-2 in master mode which i cant with this combination, because the x-fi wont set itself in slave mode, thus wont synchronize with the ADI

please recommend me a soundcard, preferably external via USB, that will work with the ADI-2 set as master

RME Babyface, Fireface UC or (internal) RME HDSP 9632 or HDSPe AIO.
Besides that, it makes little difference to the ADI-2 whether it runs as Master or not: http://www.rme-audio.de/en_support_tech … teadyclock

well i owned the fireface uc until recently and since i only used it for 1x D/A anyway i switched to the ADI-2. i'd like to try it on the highest sample rate, and i need to run it in master mode for that, right?
