Topic: babyface dsp?

hi,could you please help me understand the DSP control of REVERB and echo.I can see the meter for fx in and out  and did manage to hear it once.It was high quality, better than the DAW
However I can't remember how I achieved this.Is it a routing issue or because only the dry signal was recorded in Nuendo, and now BF can't affect the playback.
Should I have recorded "loopback"?Hope you understand my problem, inability to read manuals.
thanks

Re: babyface dsp?

If you check the option in the Settings dialog then EQ and LC are within the record path, means they affect the recorded signal. Echo and Reverb can only be recorded via Loopback.

Re: babyface dsp?

thanks Matthias
EQ is ticked but what is LC? So is it possible to affect  the playback (with totalmix)after record, if the recording did not save the fx.
Please excuse my DSP  virginity and newborn disorientation.
thanks
Mark

Re: babyface dsp?

ok, LC is low cut but still the FX are inaudible monitored in or out

Re: babyface dsp?

I think I have solved my own problem, the loopback at the hardware output only must be activated to record the DSP.What then is the specific purpose of the  controlroom loopback.
BTW I really like the sound from my babyface
