I'm quite confused about what I'm going to post but I need your help.

I installed on my computer windows 7 and updated all my drivers.

Then I launch ableton live and what a surprise the sound is interrupted when my hard-drives are in use... this is embarassing. And I'm not really sure that this is the cause!

It's really strange because before my computer had no issues with Windows xp (it was even the 64bits version!) and now it's really, really painful to work with those random stops during playback.

I checked on my dell laptop (w7 x64 exactly same as here) and no problem. It's not my FF.

I think that it might comes from my IDE or firewire drivers. I have a Gigabyte EP45-DS3R motherboard. I updated the drivers again with a newer version and the problem is the same.

I tried with the two versions of the FF400 drivers and same result.

Please can someone help me? I contacted the RME support and I am really stressed about it.
