Topic: HDSP 32 adat out slow sound start ADA 8000

Hi guys,

I've been breaking my head over this issue. I use the adat out from hdsp32 to a 'b' ADA 8000 for extra outputs. HDSP card is master, ada 8000 is slaved at 48 khz and locked. 44.1 khz same problem.

No matter what I do, the output level slowly rises when audio is played back (while the meters of the HDSP mixer displays level) .. it sounds exactly like an expander, all outputs behave the same way.

Thought it was an ada 8000 problem, but I tried another one .. and it's just the same.

Anyone a clue or suggestion for me?

Thanks!

Hello,

can you describe the phenomenon a bit more in detail? Is this an HDSP 9632?

Sorry, it is the ADA8000, not an RME problem. Have heard about this from a few users already. Not sure if it's a defect or some slow noise gate they have now...

Yes, got that information too meanwhile:

aha .. that explains it all .. I have 2 bad ones then .. ok, no more behringer stuff for me, when it did make sound, it sounded good for the money though.

Thanks for the updates and reply's

Take care!

There is a workaround for this, at least in my experience wink
