Topic: HDSP(e) AES : meters ok, no signal.

Hello to you all

here the thing : everything looks fine (drivers ok, meters running playback and output)
but no digital sync, and therefore, no sound on digital devices (3 were tested)

am I missing something or real card problem?

windows 7 x64
HDSPe AES
drivers : 3.08.5
hardware revision 7
SN 23057264

thx for any ideas...

Re: HDSP(e) AES : meters ok, no signal.

More details please. What is connected to the AES I/O on the card, what type of cables, settings used in the card and external device, etc.

Re: HDSP(e) AES : meters ok, no signal.

Hi again
sorry for the delay (wasn't home)

The devices are :
a Sony PCM7040
a HHB Portadat PDR1000
and a set of JBL active monitoring : 3xLSR 4328P, 2xLSR 4326P, 1xLSR 4312P

the cable is a sub-D25 -> AES/EBU (Cordial multicore digital AES/EBU 110Ohm)
tested fine on a Avid/Digidesign 192i/o

the settings:
options: checked and unchecked in every way
word clock out unchecked
buffer 256
clock mode: master
output format: single, single, professional(or not)
DDS unactive, Frequency 48kHz

thx again.

Re: HDSP(e) AES : meters ok, no signal.

Hi,
I don't understand "no digital sync" - it refers to the status of devices attached, correct? Did you set them as slaves?
Also - are you 100% sure all I/O worked with the 192 I/O? Because if you use a Yamaha-Type Cordial multicore, the results may be very strange (some channels work, some don't). Please doublecheck you are using the Tascam-Pinout version.
Best regards,
Max
