Topic: Does your FF400 make a high pitch noise?

Just wondering, does anyone else's FF400 make a really high pitch tone from the actual soundcard itself?
Mine does. Its quite annoying at first (like Tinitus)

I've posted a clip of the sound using a NT1 mic positioned by the side grill of the FF400 and then normalised in soundforge

Listen here

I've tried everything i possibly could to stop it (powered by firewire, adapter etc) but it never goes.

Its done it since i purchased it from Digital village and they said soundcards do emit some noise. But i'm gonna be honest here, my previous soundcard made no noise.

Any advice?

Very unusual. Most probably the transformer of the internal switched power supply. Check with Synthax UK. We really don't want to sell noisy units!

Yeah mine is noisy too.

Use the firewire legacy drivers(under windows 7, if you're under osx, no solution sad )  and the noise may be gone.
If i use TI or OHCI drivers, i have the high pitched noise like you.
