Topic: Fireface 400 not working with MacBook Pro

hello,

I was just trying to connect my Fireface 400 to my Mac Book Pro. The MacBook is 1.5 years old and is running Snow Leopard 10.6.5. The fireface has contact to the computer, but when I am rebooting it I get a warning that says that I should update my firmware of the Fireface with a Flash update. So I downloaded the latest Flash update and the updating process worked without any problem. But the fireface is still not working and I keep getting these warnings at the beginning. What can that be?

Sometimes you can see these warnings when you have trouble with Firewire. Disconnect any other FW devices, try a different cable.

Looks like it is the Firewire port on my MacBook Pro. I am now using an express card with firewire 400 and it is working. But i cannot bus power it this way.

Still confusing, my Fireface 800 works with the MacBook Pro, although it somtimes needs more than one start of the computer to make it start working.
