Topic: Fireface 400 BSOD

Greetings this would be my first post on your forum, i would like to present my problem regarding the fireface 400.

It seems that after installing it, my PC began to display the BSOD on every hour, however there are times that
the PC runs flawlessly when there is no audio interaction with the system. I have tried Windows XP/SP2-3 but
as i mentioned before after some processes are started involving audio BSOD pops up.

I thought i should reinstall the
drivers which i did... i got the newest firmware and drivers and still i had the same problem. Then i've installed win7 x64
and the BSOD continues to pop up in the same pace as before.

Any suggestions regarding this problem?

Re: Fireface 400 BSOD

Hourly problems remind me of a problem that some PCs have when disk controllers are set to AHCI mode. This usually causes dropouts, not BSODs. Anyhow, worth checking IMHO.

Re: Fireface 400 BSOD

I will check it out later this evening and i will keep you up-date-ed, and in any case what could be the prob if the AHCI mode is not responsible for the BSODs or the drop-outs.. ?

Re: Fireface 400 BSOD

Let's start speculating once we know whether it's the AHCI or not... cool

Re: Fireface 400 BSOD

Can you post the content of the BSOD? Do you see errors in the FF Settings dialog?
