Topic: From Fireface UC to Babyface

Hi good RME forum!

First, you must forgive me for posting a similar thread at GS, but I figure it is more practical to post it here instead.

I have been trying to downsize my studio setup little by little for portability, and space. I currently own a RME Fireface UC. Comparing the Babyface and the Fireface they seem to be exactly on par with one another except BF can use Totalmix FX, and FFUC has more I/O. I am seriously considering switching to the Babyface as I believe it has enough I/O for anything I would ever be doing in my modest home studio/portable setup. I never track more than two channels of audio at a time from my MPC2500, usually I'm tracking one at a time in mono.I feel the Fireface UC has way more than I will ever use or need.

Is there anything else I am overlooking as far as features between the two interfaces that I am overlooking as I consider the switch to the Babyface from the Fireface? Thanks so much!

They should put you in a glass jar.
