Re: firewire pcie card

I've been using a Lacie fw800 card(pcmcia) for years with fw400 and a FF800. It's been solid. I may also be looking at getting a new card for a desktop and I'm interested in this as well.

Re: firewire pcie card

I've been using a Siig fw400 pcie card (http://www.siig.com/ViewProduct.aspx?pn=NN-E20112-S2) about one year in my desktop and it's working great. (MSI P35 Neo-Fi, Core 2 Duo E6700, 8 Gb DDR2 800 MHz, Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit)

Re: firewire pcie card

Actually SIIG have a FW800 PCIe card (http://www.siig.com/ViewProduct.aspx?pn=NN-E38012-S3).
It has a TI chipset and does not appear to be one of those earlier ones that used a PCI TI chip with a PCI to PCIe chipset.

Has anyone used it?
