Topic: How to disable Fireface total mix presets from responding to midi

Hi,

I have set up my controller keyboard (Axiom Pro49) so that I can use a slider to control the master volume on Totalmix on AN1/2 on cc 102 midi chanel 9. I have enabled Midi control and unchecked deactivate midi in background so that I can change the volume if I am in logic for example. My problem is that when I play the keyboard and hit any note between F3 and d4 the presets change and make this setup unuseable. The only way I have found to get round this is to set my master midi output to a number other than 1 but that messes up my whole template. Is there another way round this . All I want is the ability to have a master Volume slider for Total mix.

Unless someone can think of a better way , I have solved it by putting in a transformer in logic's environment to transform midi 2 to midi 1 so Logic still thinks it's getting 1 and Fireface doesn't respond because my keyboard master out is set to 2. The volume still works cos the slider is set to midi 9 .

The notes that you send are used in the Mackie protocol (MIDI channel 1) to do certain things. The idea basically was to use a different MIDI channel if you want to do something different than remote. Due to the extensions with CCs that use other MIDI channels in TM the only safe solution at this time is to use a different MIDI port.
