I recently moved from PC running the multiface to a macbook pro with fireface 400. I never had problems with the multiface but with the fireface the level of output one is much lower than output two, I am monitoring straight to speakers so decided to use outs three and four instead, now output four crackles and cuts out from time to time. I have checked cables and speakers are working. I have installed the drivers several times with flash update but the same thing happens. I have also checked the outputs are on the same db level.

I picked up the fireface second hand and the connectors on the back were quite dirty, could the unit simply need a service or a clean out? Would you recommend any electrical cleaner and performing this myself?

Any help would be much appreciated.
