Topic: Just purchased a Multiface II and PCI pack - Need help installing

Upon recieveing this interface and PCI card I realize there is no drivers cd included?

Now I look at the downloads on the site and I cannot find any drivers for Multiface II
and there are several flash utilities. Also I am using Sonar 8.3 Producer with Windows XP 64bit.

Where do I start? Meaning what drivers do I use for the Multiface II and why are there so many
flash utilities? I also see a Sonar Asio DLLs download? Do I need to do something with that also?

When I had my Echo Layla 3 G interface there was 1 exe file and I was up and running.

Please help HeadScratch

The PCI card comes with a driver CD. Most probably it´s an outdated one, so you need to download the latest drivers and flash updates from the RME webite.

You need the drivers for the PCI card - if this is your card. The Multiface II does not have any drivers, it´s used always in connection with some base card.

For the Hammerfall DSP PCI card use the HDSP flash tool (fut_wdm_dsp.zip). For the PCI express card use the HDSPe flash tool (fut_wdm_dspe.zip).

No, WE have to do something with that (remove it from the download page...).

Worked like a charm... Now If I can figure how to use this Mixer to send individual channels to the phones I am set...

I heard a distinct difference for my Layla 3G. I'm already estatic I made the upgrade to RME!!!!

Re: Just purchased a Multiface II and PCI pack - Need help installing

We have some video tutorials for TotalMix on our Youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/RMEAudio#g/ … C632FC103C

Quick steps:
- choose Submix mode in TotalMix (if not set)
- click your phones output (3rd row) - the channel looks brighter
- Create your headphone mix: set the send level of all channels - external hardware inputs (1st row) and software playback channels (2nd row)
