Hi everybody,

I am a proud user of RME since my very first Samplitude workstation.
Now things have changed, a lot.. thank you for developping such great hardwares and softwares.

I'm new in MAC stuffz,

RME expresscard : rev 18
Drivers : 2.70
macbook pro (intel) leopard 10.5

everything is OK when I plug the same RME bundle on my WIN XP PC.

since I update to rev18, the hardware settings tool find a "RPM" or a "digiface" but never a "multiface", as it should be.
Sometimes, it finds nothing at all, even if the "host problem" led doesn't light, nor flash.

This is my first problem with an RME product, and with a MAC !!!!! SIC

what can I do?
I am in big troubles now, cause a studio session is starting tomorrow....

please help me!

Try a different FireWire cable. If that doesn't help simply roll back to an older driver and firmware to see that it really is a matter of those.

It's2h36 am in France, I am tired, but I need this to work, sorry.

I tried many different cables.
How can I roll back to an older revision?
to an older driver?

...i had the same problem when installing the driver...solution:
just delete the old driver (http://www.rme-audio.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=5004) and re-install it...
important: after removing the old driver turn off your mac and then turn it on again (do not just restart it) and then install the driver...after you installed the driver repair the permissions on your mac (this is very important - otherwise your multiface won't be recognised...my multiface was also detected as a 'rpm')'...

removing, turning off/on, reinstalling, repairing permissions didn´t help. Digiface is still recogniced as RPM :-(

are you using the latest driver?
Can you test the setup with another computer? Are the devices new?

I´m using 276, which I downloaded from your homepage yesterday. That seems to be the latest one, no?
The digiface is mine, and works without problems in my PC with PCI Card. The HDSPe Card is borrowed from a friend, who did not have problems with it yet. Anyway, I don´t know which interface he uses with it, but I think he´s got multiface, digiface, and madiface ... So: not new, but should be working.

Hope to find a solution soon, I need to do some measurements this evening ...

Another funny thing: When I connect the HDSPe without connected Interface, it shows a Digiface .... but when I connect my Digiface, the Host-Light stays red.

ok, now i found a solution. The HDSPe Card wasn´t updated. FUT showed Revision 13. I hope my friend won´t need Revision 13 since I updated it to 18 know ... ?! Is there a way to flash it back to 13 in that case? Now at leas it seems to work.
