MADIface owner

Is there anybody that can help me with a short and simple test?
If you do a loopback with your MADIface (Computer =? MADIface out=? MADIface in).
Use a playback program to output signal and use the Digicheck recording function to record the incoming signal and have the MADIface control panel visible.
When recording the incoming signal, disconnect and connect the power cord to your laptop several times.
Do you then get glitches in the recording and can you see in the control panel that “sync” changes to “lock” and sometimes even loses connection at all.
Tell me if you get glitches and tell me if you don´t so I know if it is just a isolated problem for me.
Please help me before I get nuts.

Best regards
Anders

HeadScratch  Errrm  Thats a pretty extreme stress test there Anders.  Have you properly set up the power states on your laptop to be at maximum everything on battery & mains power (including bios) ?  Is your laptop from a pro audio builder or off the shelf, and if the later, is it really reasonable not to expect glitches in this situation?

Thank you for your reply

And yes it is an extreme test. The background you can read here http://www.rme-audio.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=9943
This was the easiest way I could get it to glitch with regularity and without other equipment connected. Otherwise I had to have more stuff connected or it came more seldom.

Re: MADIface owner

Oh I see your problem.  Have you tried a different laptop (to eliminate yours as the possible source of the problem) ?
