Topic: RayDAT - different color faces = differenty hardware revision?

Thanks entirely to the help I received elsewhere in this forum (!), I'm ready to get a RayDAT.

Looking at the images on the RME website, I see that the vertical "face" is silver:

But then I see various dealers selling RayDATs with a black vertical "face":

What's the different between the silver and the black?

Do I need to worry about whether a particular seller is selling an "older" version of the card?  What should I be asking for?

Thanks, as always!!

Re: RayDAT - different color faces = differenty hardware revision?

The silver slot versions of all RME cards were introduced three years ago. Besides the color they are identical. I doubt that shops still have the black versions in stock. The dealers just need to update their product images.

The used RME logo in this online shop is also outdated.
