Topic: Fireface UC Volume Control Issues

Hey Guys

Ive have been using the UC for around 4 months now and everything has been awesome until recently. Ive have assigned the Knob on the front panel to control the level of outputs 1+2 and when I turn the knob (even one little click) the volume jumps around dramatically, It will go from -56 all the way up to +6 suddenly. This is becoming quite a problem and you can imagine how frustrating this is late at night when people are trying to sleep. Id like to also mention that for the first 3 months the volume knob was completely fine and responded perfectly its only in the last few weeks this is happening.   

Has anyone else had the same issues?   
Is there anything within TotalMix that may be causing this issue that Im unaware of?
Is is possible my trusty UC is semi retarded and needs replacing?

Solutions can only exist if you both tell us how to reproduce this:

- operating system

- driver version

- firmware version

- TM FX version

- any groups active where AN 1/2 is involved? Tried to reset the mixer via the Options menu?

it doesn't depend on which parameter I want to affect. on all parameters the encoder knob is going crazy and the values are jumping up and down. it doesn't do nice increments and decrements anymore.

like it's sending wrong values.
i think it's broken.

While the unit might indeed be broken you still are on outdated drivers. Otherwise your TM FX would have been version 0.924, and we even have 0.932 in this forum. Please try an update first, the issue might be fixed already.

Same problem here. MacOS 10.6.6, Latest drivers and firmware. The problem persists even in stand-alone mode.
