Topic: MadiFace Input Status

Hi everyboby,

I have connected my HDSPe MadiFace to an ADI 648 and some Micstasys. Everything seems to be fine, but my "Hammerfall DSP Settings" driver Input Status indicates "56 channels" instead of 64 channels.

MadiFace is Master, Madi Out Setting is 64 (32/16) ch. and my ADI 648 indicates in the Madi to ADAT section the 64 channel modus. When I changes to 56 channels in my MadiFace driver the ADI reacts and the 64 channel indicater went off, so the transmission seems to be ok!

So, should my MadiFace Input Status indicate 64 channel too ?

Hi Peter,

You have to have something routed to MADI bank 8 output (ch 57-64) in order to have the ADI-648 send 64 channel MADI instead of 56 channel. Explained in the ADI-648 manual. It's no problem anyway if these channels are unused.
