I realize that this might be somewhat outside your primary "domain", but have you ever considered doing a 1st class midi / sync interface with at least 8 i/o? Something with stellar midi timing and analouge sync options (ARP-Clock, DIN-Sync ect..). I'm sure you could do it better than anybody else, and the MIDI world today really needs better timing, if you ask me ..

It's absolutely mesmerizing to me, that we could go from the days of Atari ST with rock-solid timing, to the shaky timing we have today, taking the evolution of technology into account ..
