I have recently changed around my rack and put the fireface uc in the rack next to a half space mic pre... It hasn't failed in any way, but i noticed at the end of the night that the UC was rather warm to the touch from the front of the rack. With the power switch on the back of the unit, chances are that i will often  forget to go behind the rack and power it down after each use....

questions:

- is it harmful for the fireface UC to be powered up for weeks at a time?
- is it harmful for the fireface UC to be powered up in a warm rack for any amount of time? should i just take it out of the rack and let it breathe?

Ideally, i want to leave it in the rack as it fills that half space next to the pre thats been bugging me!
