Topic: Using a second USB MIDI Interface with Fireface UC

I have been using a Midisport 4x4 (old model, not anniversary version) rather than the MIDI I/O in my Fireface UC.

Question:
1. Are there any pros/cons related to FFUC performance when using a separate USB MIDI I/O rather than the FFUC MIDI I/O?

2. Are there any pros/cons related to FFUC performance when using a separate USB MIDI I/O and the FFUC MIDI I/O at the same time?

I searched the forum, but didn't find any answers. Thanks for any info.

1. No.
2. Our USB (and FireWire) MIDI implementation has the lowest Windows jitter and delay in the industry, nearly on PCI level. You can check and compare this yourself using the free MIDI Test.

Thank you for the quick reply.

I'm on a Mac, my apologies for not stating that previously. Does the free MIDI Test work for Mac? I couldn't find it on the RME website.

The UC is class compliant (uses OS X own MIDI driver) and therefore has a perfect MIDI timing under Mac OS X.
