Topic: baby face and usb3

hi everybody i have a free mini pcie slot  and new there is a adapter

avaiable,  as i dont get very good latency response (i am on 128 and still have random clicks) it must be my computer as it is a consumer (msi 2200 wintop). what do you think would this help? (the usb3)

USB 3 will not make the Babyface any "faster".

You could give it a try. The USB3 chip from Nec does uses it's own driver (not the one from microsoft) and the USB controller hardware architecture is different from EHCI. So far I have no experince wether it works better, but we have found that the nec USB3 driver and hardware is compatible to our products (UC, UFX and Babyface).
If you have USB3 already onboard be aware that there are two possible implementations: USB 3 combines two modes into one connector (super speed and high speed 480 MB). The high speed part of USB3 may also be routed internally to the EHCI controller instead to the xHCI controller for compatibility reasons. In that case there is no differenc to USB2.
