Topic: Adat and madi in use at the same time 48k and or 96k

Hi im have a bit of trouble seting up my system im a bit new to the Rme units. I have a M-32DA and a M-32AD units with the HSpe 128 card. I have no trouble running it using Madi fiber as the hookup from the computer card to the 2 units 64ch at 96k or 128 ch at 48K works great.
     My question: I have diffrent outboard gear Iee: a mixer Yamaha used as a monitor mix and some efx units lexicons 300, Fireworx etc all having adat connections I would like to connect this via the adat on the RME Units and use the Madi from the HSPE card to get In and out of the M-32DA and the M-32AD used as track recording and monitoring for the studio speakers etc. I understand that i will loose the  some of the M-32 analog ins and out propornal in that I am limited to the unmber of Ch depending on the KHZ used. But i can figure out how to send out threw the adat fiber or input threw adat fiber at the same time as inputing and outputing on the units threw the m-32's analog ins and outs. Can this even be done, can I just lock the two M32s via the madi sync from the hspe card then use the adat lock on the adat line or do i have to lock the whole sysem to the word clock. I cant even find how to asign the outputs to the adat outs i have not trouble with sending to the M-32 in and outs. But i see nothing that says heres the adat out in any of the controller conection windows. THere is a list of 64 amdi ins and 64 madi Ins and outs at 96k or 128 madi ins and outs at 48k.  Thanks for any help. feral

Pleses understand there is a few mistakes in my post, I know the fiber is not madi fiber just the carrier of the signal and that all adat as well madi is moved back threw the hspe card. I hope is was able to get my quest across ok even though there are some decripency in it. as well my spelling.

You can not route from MADI to ADAT or vice versa in the M-series.

THen is is possable to get another card like the HSpe raydat on another pcie slot in the computer to move the adat format in and out of the host program which is cubase 6 and lock the two card together. the hspe 128 madi and the hspe ray dat. would it lock word clock or ? and would the two card and drivers be able to be used simotanouly ot i dthink i saw anothere rem product with madi conection a single rack unti with analoge ins and out and aes as well adat. not sure what the model was. I go back and look

Dose the ADI 8 QS allow you to take in madi fiber and send it out as adat and the reverse take in adat and convert the signal and send it on the madi.  Im guessing the firewire units send out analog and adat and spdif and aes but not madi. Thank your helping me clear this up. feral aka michael

You can easily use the RayDAT and MADI card together, having more channels in an ASIO-based DAW then. This setup would give more flexibility than 'inserting' other equipment (like the ADI-648) into your existing MADI setup, as all M-series channels stay fully available.

Thank you For your help you have helped clear up my confusion a bit, thank you MC Admin. It makes sence your products have been working great Im very happy with them.
  Next on the list is a good analog front end board. Ive been looking at a older used trident vs the Toft trident then to put some Api compressors and Mic pre's on the inserts. The cost are to just out of my reach for a Neve and the newer Trident 80c. Whach has nothing to do with this topic. But Thank you for your Help with Rme equipment.
