Topic: RME HDSP9652 AEB Issues

I recently moved my Windows 7 desktop out of my room with a bunch of ~50ft cables (usb, vga, trs). Since then my AEB8-i has been giving me some problems.

My AEB8-i has some noise whenever connected to my mixer. When I unplug all the cables from either the AEB8-i or mixer the noise goes away. This never used to happen before I moved the computer.

I'm assuming this has more to do with moving my computer out of my room rather than the card itself. Sometimes my monitor screen signal gets weaker, losing brightness and clarity. Whenever this happens the input signals on the HDSP Mixer for the AEB8-i all shoot up to around -17.90. My spdif converters don't have any of these issues.

What should I do?
Thanks

Sounds like Ground Loop / grounding issue to me...

What should I do to fix this grounding issue?  I'm pretty inexperienced with all of this.

The 50ft vga cable from my video card to monitor seems to be causing all of the trouble. Whenever I unplug it, the buzz goes away.

Would swapping out the vga cable with a dvi or hdmi cable solve the problem?
