Ive just ordered a ADI-2 and was wondering the correct way to hook this up to my Presonus Firestudio before it arrives in the mail.

I know my Firestudio has Spdif in/out coaxl connections. But im wondering how this all comes into play to connect my external Mic pre's and Speakers/monitors.

Im assuming the connection should go like....

-External Mic preamp connects to the input of ADI-2 via TRS cable
-ADI-2 connects to Presonus via SPDIF (do i only need to run one cable, from the "out" of the RME into the "in" of the Presonus?)
- Monitors can be connected to ADI via XLR outputs (to get D/A conversion),....OR connect monitors to the Presonus and you wont use the DA conversion from the ADI, only its AD conversion.

Does this seem right?
