Hi,
I just bought a Macbook pro 15'' and I'm experiencing little pops when listening to mp3s as Ableton Live is open. It appears randomly.
Clock is at 88.2 KHz
Ableton live goes through 1/2 output > 1/2 Hardware
VLC or Chrome through 3/4 > 1/2 Hardware
I tried different buffer into Live (from 32 to 128)
Does someone experience the same problem or can help me?

Setting to 128 is a joke. try 1024 or 512
It appears at 512 and 1024 to.
When I set 196000Hz the sound constantly cracks whatever the buffer.
I made different tests, I encounter the problem when 2 software use the Fireface.
Hope someone will help me.
Also, this morning while soft were playing I plugged the Fireface out and re-plugged it.
The sound was fine after this, but could'nt test too long.

Maybe a clue,
I've created a aggregate device for Playback with the fireface in it. Ableton Live still use the "real" fireface, no clip/crack so far.
If someone at RME support read this.

We were able to reproduce the problem (thanks for the details). Please try driver 1.51, on our machine it solved that problem.

The problem almost disappeared but not completely.
There are still crackling but less often and not the same ones, it's more like gaps in the sound now, less agressive.
I'm working at 88200Hz / 512 samples buffer.
I start the macbook, launch first Ableton live, then Itunes. (I also tried with Chrome/Deezer instead of Itunes).
But there is a real improvement.
I also tried to switch to 192000Hz in Live while playback in Itunes, and no crackling at all (but I did not wait 2/3 minutes).
It's really close to perfect.
P.S. I checked Fireface USB settings, I've got Firmware: v112 Driver: v1.51
I installed new driver whit the Fireface plugged in and then rebooted the Macbook. I hope this was the right way to update.
