Topic: Babyface mic and instrument input question
I am thinking about buying a Babyface and have been reading about it. I am confused about the audio input ability when using the guitar/instrument input. I read where something is disabled on one of the XLR inpts on the breakuot if you use the instrument input. Is the one of the breakout XLRs disabled or just the effects or software.
In other words, can I record electric guitar through the instrument input while running two mics through the XLR inputs? Actually I would love to run one powered instrument mic and a powered vocal mic through the XLRs on the breakout and another dynamic instrument mic through the input on the side of the BF...
I am throughly confused and I am sure you are too now... HeadScratch
At least I know I can add inputs with an ADAT.
So another question. Does the BF provide preamps for extra inputs that are added by ADAT?
I apologize if the questions are dumb but I am a bit new and am still a bit ignorant of what does what and what is possible. I am however smart enough to see that the BF is a nice interface.
I am running W7 64bit on an i5 notebook using Sonar X1. I ran DPC latency checker and I stay around 100 with this conputer so I expect the BF to be wonderful.
