Topic: Feature Request
I'm using Global recording to a pc to record via madiface 64 tracks.
It's works very well but it's take a long time to translate the big file to 64 files when record is finish. It's impossible to use it during the recording of festivals with 10 groups a day.
I would realize 2 things :
I would like to name the tracks before recording.
I would prefer to record 64 individual tracks than 1 big file of the 64 tracks in it.
The reason is to allow us to record without using Nuendo licenses (because we hown 4 computers to record).
So the main question is :
Is there a way to get source of code of global recording to adapt it in that way (like open source program). Does it use Asio drivers or other method to get the samples from hardware.
I can code it with asio drivers but I'm not sure it will be efficient (64 tracks takes cpu time for writing !).
Will on day RME release some of their really good software (like Digicheck) under opensource so from, a dev community could improve, add and share à lot of softs ?
Best regards.
