Hi,possibly a stupid question but my genelec
cables have 1/4 xlr inch connections, so can I use
3/4 outputs for them? I tried connecting
them but can't get ant sound I'm thinking
I'm just not familiar with the ufx, no sound from
headphones when connected either!! Anybody
know how to configure these,cheers
Easiest would be to get XLR to TRS cables. Otherwise, you just need to route the audio to the outputs (3/4 and Phones) with TotalMix FX.
In TotalMix you've got a fully configurable patch bay that will route just about any signal just about anywhere!. There's nothing special about the output pair labelled 1/2 (except that they don't fit your cables:-) Put a sticky label above 2/3 marked "Main Output" and set TotalMix so they ARE the main output!
Yep I knew this except I'm having terrible
trouble setting total mix to do this,I don't
find it very intuitive for this sort of thing
I tried using the matrix but the boxEs I want to
highlight output 3/4 don't seem to respond, I feel

TotalMix is very powerful but I too found it hard to understand. The trick, I think, is to understand just what ISN'T being shown in each view, and that the Matrix isn't a separate tool, just another view of the same settings.

sorted in seconds, easy when you know how
would be nice if clearly outlined in manual
