Topic: serious UFX Fw problem

Hi everybody,

I have a serious problem with my Fireface UFX.

If the unit is connected over a F800->400 cable and powered on, the Macbook crashes directly in the 1st grey boot screen with a kernel panic ("you need to hold down the power button…").
I can reproduce the error anytime……

Everything works fine, if i turn on the UFX after the Laptop is complete booted.

Also the power socket is wobbly. I can easily move it a few mm to every side. Is this a normal behavior?

MacbookPro 13,3; 2,26 GHz; mid 2009
8Gb Ram; 500Gb Hitachi 5400rpm
Osx 10.5.8: Logic 8.0.2

Ufx Firmware 1.33
Totalmix 0.94 pre 5
kernel driver 2.91
unit v336

There is nothing connected to the USB port?

No, there is only the Fw cable connected...

The power socket can move a little bit to the side, that is normal. It will not fall out, don't worry.

Hi,

PROBLEM SOLVED

with the latest pre release firmware (firmware1.34, totalmix pre 6)my ufx works very well:-)
32 samples at usb or fw are no problem for this grate unit.
