Topic: HDSPe MADI and ProTools9

We are experiencing problems with ProTools 9 on our system(s).
MADI PCIe - Driver V.3.08.5

When launching PT9, the initializing stalls and give us the message:
ProTools could not initialize the current playback device.
Please make sure that the device has been configured correctly.

And then PT just poofs.
We are running in circles for a while now.
Any idea what may cause this?
And more importantly, how to fix it? :-)

We are on Win7 64bit.

Thanks

Re: HDSPe MADI and ProTools9

Problem solved.

Removing the ASIO folder from the program files(x86)/Steinberg folder did the trick.
After a first launch of PT, we have put back the ASIO folder, and don't experience any more problems.

Thanks to the ADK people, for solving this problem.

Re: HDSPe MADI and ProTools9

Intriguing - we just put two Madi cards in a MacPro for Nuendo.  Later while trying to install PT we had the same error and result.  We had to -
- uninstall ProTools
- physically remove the Madi cards
- install ProTools
- then reinsert the cards

We then had to launch PT while holding down "N" to initialize the playback device, after that it was ok.
